This is a collection of photographs and commentary by Roy E. Hunt Circa 1970. Roy is an experienced railroad engineer and avid railroad collector. He and his father have both worked on the restoration of K4s No. 1361 at the Juniata Shops. The K.V. Railroad provided passenger and freight service between Belleville and Reedsville, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania during the period from 1868 to 1939. In 1927 the K.V.R.R. entered an agreement with the P.R.R., whereby the K.V.R.R. took over the operation of the passenger service of the Milroy Branch between Reedsville and Lewistown, with passengers, mail and freight. Kishacoquillas Valley, known as "Big Valley," is located North of Lewistown, Pa and runs between Jacks Mountain and Stone Mountain. See USGS Map Photo No. 3. For more information read the commentaries on pages 1 and 2.
